Flowmaster 40 series.

I was thinking of a 40 series also. but i've heard that a super 40 makes smaller motors like mine sound pretty decent.

also every time i go to catback section of borlas website it redirects me to the universal part of the site and i dont see any catbacks.

i know it, they need to put more audio on their site.
the catback is a performance type of muffler.
it would have a low to medium rumble. alot of the sports, muscle cars, and performance model street trucks have them. i think it sounds awesome on trucks. it just depends on what you want it to sound like. if you want a really loud 4x4 deep sound...you should look else where..like for a glasspack..or echo chamber.

listen to the audio for the truck/suv...for a general idea. it would sound like that on most anything.

that is what i plain to put on a toyota tacoma, whenever i trade my car in for one. (4x4 of course..lol )

i forgot to ask..is your truck 4x4 ?
like i said though, i really like how its sounds alot.
but catback is not cheap...

teh old 300 straight 6 is a good motor, that you can get a good sound out of. I like flowmaster, teh 40 is a good choice, but the super 40 will give you a deeper, lower rumble. i like the super 40 best. Magnaflow is too quiet for my taste, but that is jsut me. borla is good stuff, but you pay for it too. Dynomax has decent stuff to, the race wullet will make your truck loud if that is want you want, but not sure of the sound on the 300. IMO flowmaster for the best sound.

3 inch gavanized fence post, turned into stacks. This is my friends truck he did that to, he is running the stock header, cat, and the stacks. It is the best sounding ford straight 6 I have ever heard.

I agree with ya. I always thought Borla and Magnaflow were too mellow for my tastes. That video of a 06 F150 posted above with Magnaflow is weak sauce...:ermm:

Flowmaster 40 series original mufflers will give a nice deep tone/rumble if that's what you're after.

If you want something with just a little more rumble than stock, go with Magnaflows or Borla/Bassani if you want to shell out the extra $$$

either way, if i where you i would def put a turn down on it.

super load mufflers get annoying after a while.

flow diasters sound like a toilet flushing, its too hollow sounding.
