Shocks have more adjustments I believe.

Everything is the same as the basic 450, just different plastic and colors. That is the only difference. I have seen on in person, I like the SE with White plastic better myself.

Yea, except you missed the biggest difference: shocks have more adjustments. If people don't plan on going with aftermarket shocks this is probably a big thing to look at.

If you read from yamaha website there is over 80 changes made from 06 to the new 07's. I have the SE 07 white with flame graphics myself. The black one coming out is just different graphics that's all.

Actually the 80 changes were from the '05's to '06's. I believe there were probably only about 10 changes from '06 to '07.

I've got the article right here in front of me unless Dirt wheels made the mistake on a misprint. They was testing the new 07 yfz.

Would you mind copying and showing us what the 80 changes are for the '07? I remember Yamaha showing there were only a few upgrades, the '06's were the ones that had the major upgrades.

this is what it says on there web site for the 07 yfz450se

New for 2007:

* Front and rear piggyback shocks adjust for high- and low-speed compression damping—as well as rebound damping and spring preload.
* New, ProTaper aluminum handlebar is light, strong and comfortable.
* New front brake master cylinder and lever gives excellent feel and feedback.
* New, drilled rear brake disc reduces unsprung weight and offers excellent feel and feedback.
* A new internal oil jet aimed at the piston bottom keeps things cool and well lubricated.
* An improved clutch offers consistent operation and big-time strength.
