FMF exhaust

will an '86 FMF fatty work on an '87 250R....i've been to websites that list the two separate with fitments for the '87-'89 but not the '86???:confused:

I would think that the only difference would be the mounting tab. You might have to make an adapter plate to fit it, but every pipe I've ever installed, (even for the right model), has to have some tweaking involved.

I have used 86 pipes on 87 and up frames, and yes, its because of different tab locations, but its not a big deal, goodluck!! ;)

Same here. Always had to tweak something or fab a custom bracket. Should work though.

ok new to 2-stroke exhaust here...what exactly is the mounting tab?and would i have to make one myself or do they sell them?
