IT RAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT.... It seems like it's running too hot... it comes up to temp REALLY fast and after just a few min of riden i 'll spit of the side of the motor and it instantly boiles off... IT shouldn't do this should it? Plus it's smokin a good bit... it smells like it's burning oil... Its a new rebuild though. Is it possible to have too much oil in her?

I have the 450r carb w/ a dyno 160 main, stock 48 pilot, and the needle is set of the 3rd notch. I think i need a larger main.

THis is my first time to EVER run this thing... not familar w/ the 400exs or four strokes before this one...

oh, the throttle seems to "Stick" a little bit.. is this a result of the jetin bein off? HEll, i'm just thrilled that it ran.

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!! The cam seemes to have fixed it... now it's just adjustment time!

I would check your current jetting.

Congrats on getting it running. If it smokes a lot or uses oil you may have washed the rings out with trying to start it so long and it not running. GL and keep us posted.

Yea check that jetting 160 sounds way lean for thr 450 carb considering your somewhere between 0 to 3000ft. Most 450's around my area run from 188 to 200 range with exhaust and filter and no lid on the air box.

runnin it lean would cause the bik to heat up faster and over heat

If the throttle is hard to push in and sticks, you probably just need a new cable. I've went through three on mine already.

No... it easy to push.. it's a BRAND NEW cable.... it's somethin to do w/ the carb... it'll rev quickly then slowly come down to idle...
