heres some pics of my 05 450r that i bought new in 05. i turned 17 yesterday and payed for all of it. its setup for east coast style trail riding, powerlines, and sandpits. got it all ready for the winter because snow riding is a big thing over here. when the streets get covered and the cars stay off, the quads and sleds hit the roads until the morning hours of the night. if we get a nice, sunny day anytime soon i'll probly take some better shots with the plastic and aluminum parts polished up.

just did the exhaust, uni filter, jetted carb, and cut airbox lid so the power increase feels nice.

i think i am done modwise for awhile, trying to save up for a pickup to eventually replace the 99 isuzu rodeo that i drive now

let me know what you think
thanks

Ya that thing looks real good with the sun out or not. The black on black looks just right. By the way im on the east coast too and if ur gonna take that thing out in the snow, I wouldn't go in the streets after the plows come cause the sand and salt will eat that quad away and look like crap after a while. I ruined my lakota sport from riding in the streets after the plows go by but just make sure u go out before they come by. I would hate to see a beaty like that turn into a rust bucket and have all the bearings and things ruined from the salt and Im sure u would feel the same way. I just thought I would share that. Good job and hav fun wit it.

hey thanks alot for the concern. ive been ridin the streets every winter for the past 4 years and although the salt may add to the rust alitte, i cant say i have had too many problems. i actually had this quad out in the snow for hours on end last year, and there is only very minor spots of rust. i just really like to keep it maintained and looking good. i have too much fun out there to stop for the trucks:D

Stupid question, what is the bar pad on the grab bar for? I have seen numerous people do it not sure of it's purpose.

They do that so when the bike flips and would happen to land on them a little more padding, joe byrd does it too, it was in atv sport a while back
