Swing Arm Broke Need Help

On my swing arm(stock) the piece that is like cast to it on the sproket side it is a complete circle but 1/2 of it has broke off of it and I dont know if I need a new swing arm of just a piece. thanks

sounds like you broke the outer ring off the axle carrier, but I would need to see apic to know for sure.

400ex's swing arm arent that good I had a 400ex and not long after I had it the swingarm broke where the piviot bolt goes thru. I would suggest Getting an aftermarket. It will save you time and money in the long run.

I agree...

If the piece that broke off is a bit larger around than the rest of the swingarm then i'm 99% sure it's the carrier.

A new swingarm may be nice but they can cost alot and depending on your riding and maintenance the stock one could be just fine.

Aye.. probably the bearing carrier.

I'd bet there wasn't enough slack in the drivechain which causes excessive forces when the suspension is compressed.
