Can you put a 400EX rod in a 250X crank or get a 250X rod that can except a 400EX wrist pin? ...or maybe in some way adapt a 400EX piston pin to a 250X rod?.....just let me have some input please

If none of this any good then can someone just tell me where to get an 86mm piston for a 250X?

call FST, 814 842 6159. he has a 86mm piston for the 300ex. it uses a different rod with a bigger wrist pin. it gives you 380cc on a 300ex crank. if you use the stock 250x crank you'll have 331cc. but the pin height is different between the 250x and 300ex. so call him to find out what he does with the 250x.

so you already have the stroker crank? then you need to find out the diameter of your wrist pin, that will determine what piston you'll use unless you want to change the rod. who did the stroker, and what piston did they use?

It's a Powroll 12.7mm stroker which was buddied up with the 86mm JE.....and JE will custom make the piston for me...but at a minimum of 4 pistons....can you say $$$$? LOL I'd rather not have the crank broken down to swap rods though-know what I mean?

so the motor was together as a 406 and now you have it apart? and if so, then do you have the old piston? either way you need to find out what diameter wrist pin the rod will take. also how long is the rod? does it have a bulge in the middle. if so then its a stock rod heated and shrunk by powroll.
