I just bought a 05 box stock honda 300ex and after brake in im wanting to hop it up.
My question is about the duncan racing national engine kit ($1,375)
Is it a good kit ?
It seams to come with every thing i need to make a pretty nasty little 300ex. but i just dont want to spend the $1,400 dollars for the kit then have it installed and be disapointed about the performance.....
Does anyone else make complete kits???? THANKS!!!

not too familiar with the 300ex scene, but i have a duncan kit on my R, and i will never go back to duncan...

i think theyre pricks, and i would not reccomend them.

I have had great success with Duncan parts. I always valued Duncan's opinions about 2 strokes but I haven't used many of their 4 stroke products.

But......

300EX + $1400 = 400EX 0r 450R

Don't waste your money building the 300, enjoy it and when your ready for more, buy a 400 or 450. No matter what you do to the engine on the 300 the suspension and brakes will always be sub-par to the 400 and 450. Just my opinion...

loren did my first motor for my 89 shee, great setup till a drunk rookie took my quad without asking and overrevved blew the motor, as far as customer service they are pricks back in 89 not so much but they have grown and with that success comes attitude in socal good luck...
