Tire rim size?

I seen someone else asked this question but didn't want to steal their thread.

I bought a pair of rims on ebay suppose to be 8x8 4/100 for my daughters blaster. Well I get them and they measure 9x9 rim size = 9", width = 9". Not sure if they even fit the bolt pattern yet will try tonight. If I end up keeping them or getting stuck with them can I use 18x10x9 rear tires? I want a smaller rear tires for motocross. If I end up getting the 8x8 rims can I use 18x10x8 tires?

Another question is which is better the 8x8 or 9x9 rim for motocross?

yes, as long as the last number of the tire size and first number of the wheel size are the same, they will fit each other

tip: i use yfz 450 rear hubs on my blaster axle, it made it a heck o alot easier to find used rear aftermarket wheels
