i was thinking about 500cc big bore kit from four strock tech.worth it?any comments?want something faster than my 440ex.

i dont know much about the 500cc kit but wouldnt that be REALLY un reliable..

Cause isnt the 440 cylinder walls thin to begin with??? Like i said i dont know much about a 500cc kit

How can u say u can't afford one if ur talking about building a 500cc 400ex? Do u have any idea what kinda money that is?
It would just be easier and cheaper to sell ur 400, save a lil $$$$ and buy a used 450.

it is only $800,besides i have a guy that resleves the jugs for free.so that wont cost anything.i might have a few $ here and there.

^^^^^^^^^^^^800 dollars will only get u a piston, crank and rod.
What about the extensive bottom end machine work, the crazy head work it would need to breath, and carb? I don't even see $800 getting u half way there

im with big fish. buy a 450, sell the 400 and save a little. a 500cc 400 sounds way to unreliable to me. good luck trying to keep it running cool.

the machine work wont be a problem.good friends with the local machine shop.you guys make a good point.and that is what i was wondering.i am just going to save some money and by a 450.any one have cheap 450? thanks
