I just put it on and I have not been able to ride because I lost the exhaust o-ring and it has a exhaust leak.

They are better than stock. Better than Cobra. Better than a slip-on.

But, they are a pretty low quality pipe. The tack welded nuts for the disk bolts will pop loose and you'll be stuck with spinning bolts that wont come off. They need to be re-packed in short order. If you get some quality packing instead of the cheap crap they have in there.. it will last longer and sound a lot better.

They are definatly a bottom end / torque pipe.

It's good enough for the 250x/300ex stock motor.

So its not a good top end pipe? I just bought it because I wanted a pipe. It was like 95 dollars. Whats a good top end pipe thats not that expensive?

I'd jsut keep the DG if you already have it. You will gain top end over stock.. jsut not as much as say a WB Full, HMF Full, or Sparks X-4.

Even with the $399 Sparks, or $450 HMF you're only gonna see maybe 1-2 hp more up top if your lucky. Getting a full system (non cobra) is the most important on the stock motor.

Easiest way to tell if a pipe is bottom, mid, or top is to look at the distance the pipe is from the head where it makes it's first tight bend. The close it it the more topend tuned.. farther is more torque.

The DG Krome is definatly worth $90. ;) I'd stick with it until you start modding the motor.
