I am looking into geting a helmet camera because I like watching footage of me riding but dont have anyone to hold the camera:blah: .

what do you guys think of this one, it has an external lens on a cord to mount to a helmet.

i have the older model of it. the helmet cam is set at only one filter cant change it. but it works great for ridding when its very sunny outside. i would also say be prepared to buy a memory card its almost required. and ateast 2 or 3 back up battersy if u wanna use it multipletimes in 1 weekend without recharging. you can get the batterys pretty cheap threw 3rd party site like buy.com. other then those 2 things the camera works great.

oh yeah and durability on a scale from 1 to 10 is a 9 if not 10. which is obviously very improtant

Hows the picture in the woods? And how is the Sounds quality? I would be mainly using it for XC racing.

the sound is VERY sensative if u dont put tape or something over the mic on it then it will just sound like a tornado but if u cover it up well it works pretty well. probably same as any helmet cam. also i have never used it in the woods or anythign similiar to that so it would be hard to say.
