Might be old news but I found this article that Arctic Cat is testing out a diesel engine. Atleast thats hwo I understood it.

that would be bad ***** if they had a turbo desil 4x4 quad. Enter it in a race just to get the holeshot and blow everyone away with black smoke.

The only diesel I am aware of from polaris is I think a Magnum 300

i know they made a 455 or something

but i just asked my brother and he said yea we were looking at a polaris 800 diesel about 2 years ago at parcels :huh

well if its diesel it would have to be fuel injected since its a diesel.

yes polaris tryed this a few years ago with their 455 diesel, they later tryed to improve it by bumping the cc up to 500 but that wasn't enough, they were to heavy and gutless. ithink they had a hard time startign them to with such high compression. this arctic cat sound quite intresting. if its built right it could have just as much or more power than the big bore gas burners.

we will have to wait and see...

i may sound dumb here( dont know to much about diesels) but do these bad boys have turbos like preaty much every diesel car r truck ?
