will blaster shocks work or fit on a 250r without any modification? if so, will they lower it any?

the stock length of the R shock is 16" and the stock length of the blaster is 14". with a little work the blaster shocks can be made to fit and should lower the quad a great deal. the rear on the other hand is a bit more complicated because of the dog bone assembly. you either need to get a shorter shock for the application or use an adjustable lowering link that replaces one of the dog bone linkages. hope this helps.

Blaster and 300ex shocks will lower it significantly. A pair of 300ex shocks will actually put the A-arms into a negative angle they are so short.

Blaster shocks will work on a 250R if you narrow the mounting eyes.
A blaster shock is wider than a 250R shock in that area.
If the shocks are in good shape, seals, oil charge, & such they will work fine on flat track or TT racing.

We used blaster shocks & lawnmower tires as our TT setup a few years back in the 80s & worked right well.

It took some hard thinking to switch from the mower tire that worked well on wet slick tracks & cost 35.00 dollars to the American Racer that cost over 90.00 bucks a pop & spins its tail off on a wet starting line.

Hummmm, 90 dollar apiece tires, 700.00 dollar front shocks,, we were winning before we got all that big stuff,,,we might be backing up.
