now that its cold outside i have noticed a backfire after i let off the gas or downshift. the only thing done to the engine is an HP kit. and it wasnt doing it when it was warm. is there anything i can do? or is it just because the cold weather? im guessing it will stop when it warms back up?

Hey MR.Big, how do you like the power now? did you notice any performance difference?

Adjust your A/F Mixture screw out a 1/4 turn at a time. If you turn the A/F Mixture screw out a total of 3 turns (from all the way in), bump the pilot jet up one size, and put the mixture screw back at 2 turns out.

Then repeat if necessary the process with the larger pilot jet if necessary.

I have the stock carb still and I did notice a little bit better throttle response.

Do you think it is worth the $100?

My friend owns a quad shop so I got one for $75 so I think it is worth it. You will notice it.

Well obviously it isn't going to give you anymore horsepower it gives you better throttle response. That's it!

The powernow actually hinders performance on the top end significantly.

The colder the air the more gas you need cause more air you will be getting.

best rims out, period. If you do crack one they will replace no questions asked, but its rare to crack or break one.
