Well it ended up pretty good. Out of 20 quads in my class i got 8th overall. We raced at budds and it was extremely rough. Yesterday there were 21 motos and i was #14, and today there were 25 and i was 23, haha so it was pretty crucial. Made out ok, but made a few mistakes that costed me a few postions. But it makes me feel better that it was MD States, so the fastest guys in MD were there, and thats how i compare to them. Next weekend is in Axton VA for the VA State Champion ship, whos all gonna be there?

Looks to me like that ltr is going faster than you...you sure he wasn't passing you. j/k

Congrats on getting into racing...I can't get over my fear of other riders being around me to ever consider racing mx.

thanks man. Naw i passed him, but its jus practice:p Yea its pretty freaky when you and 5 guys are nailing each other in corners, and charging off the gate and bumping off of eachother. I should of gotten 5th the 2nd moto but my quad quit on me right after the holeshot, i was in 3rd but bad luck was on my side. I was back 15sec and came back to 11th so it wasnt that bad, but i was pissed. Oh and i forgot to say, on saturday there were a total of 42 motos, it was sick out there:devil:

Yes i should be there jerry. Im hoping we will be atleast. I think it would be very good for me to race against the fastest VA guys, good experience.

Tar- I dont have shocks yet, so that = no front end. lol

Nick- haha "little" double, lmao, its sick, no quads were doing it, only the 250A guys were.

Don't count on awhole lot of guys going. d-13 is nowhere near d7 when it comes to quads.

10-23-2006, 05:47 PM
Dang you guys are still racing down there? Im done till March, expect the etown race. That track looks so fun tho.

Do you have to have a D7 card to race at one of the D7 tracks once or twice. Or can I just get by with my ATVA card?

you have to have a district card and ATVA card. It doesn't have to be d7 but you have to have a card

Pappy

Looks good JRP

Nick, you have to run a district card or one from another district...and yes, I know you would do the gulp:D

Thanks Pappy

Jerry- yea i know d13 has nothing on D7 as far as how big it is, but it should still be good. I was just looking at the results and i was the only guy from d13 in all of the quad classes, lol.

Nick- yea you would need a district card, and an ATVA, and yea we run all year long. I will be running the rest of the races, except Rolling Hills, then i will be done untill March.

Depends on who shows up. Usually there is only 2 or 3

District 7 A guys? how fast are they? If you make a budds creek appearance there is one number to watch out for as long as he don't break then there are about 5 more as long as noone is hurt that you will learn the numbers of. And thats not counting on any pros showing up. D-13 when the A guys show up are pretty quick and can hold there own.
JRP did 152 race A?

OK. Sounds good. I would love to come race with other people i know cause D4 (my district) has about 8 quads in B and 1-2 in A. Its reall ****ty and only 2 tracks that allow quads.

That sucks, its just like mine. Usually there's like 4-6 guys in A but it was a full gate this weekend due to Nacs being there. We only have 2 tracks too.

But NEATV is most likely going to be at some of the DB only tracks in my dist. So that would be cool.

nope he wasnt there. There were only 3 guys in A class. There was matt butler, jake somthing(from PA) and some guy on a hybrid, but he was #46 i think.

Where are you racing exactly? What is the track, website, or town? I want to look it up. I am about 1.5 hrs south of Richmond...soon, I will be a little closer as I am moving to the northern part of Wake County.

damn this thread blew up!! looks like fun Jordan, if only i wasnt injuried......

nick for the local D7 races you dont need a district card, only if you want season points. last season i raced all my races with just a AMA card. Now that i am running the full season plush a few WPSA's i'lll be gettin a district card.

D7 is the king of quads in the mid-east haha. all i know in C class there are 25-30 riders!! it takes half the race just to get by all the slower guys and then you can settel in alittle. Thats why i wanted to bump up to B but cant cause of my back. A class for D7 usually has about 5-6 riders there are a few really fast guys. there is J. T. Elliot (152) who riders a sick Dale, and Kyle Mantua (5) who riders a yfz. Chris Jestice (80) is another guy but i havnt talked to him

I was referring to this post. I guess you are racing at various tracks.

You going to Breezewood over Thanksgiving weekend? Barring the prediction of a 40" snowstorm, I am going.

The last race for the year at Budds Creek is Nov. 20 I think. I wouldn't be suprised if there are 12-15 in the A class that weekend. It is the first race for 2007 points. There are some guys that are moving up and others that have been hurt that are healed. It should be a good race

ya jerry, matt is crazy. I saw him today at the races and he won moto 1 and broke down in moto 2. Matt Morgan ended up winning, hes a fast guy too. I was in C class and in moto 1 i got 2nd and in moto 2 i got 4th, so overall i got 4th out of 4 :p oh well. These guys were fast as hell, came off in 2nd and lead in 2nd place till 3/4 of the 1st lap, then got passed, and held off 3rd till 3rd lap and then i was out of shape and got passed. It was for the VA State championship, and i can honestly say, i hate lake sugar tree, lol. Not becasue of the facility, just because of the whoops.:p

JRP
10-29-2006, 12:46 PM
oh and also i found out that the 3 guys i was racing against are the Top 3 in Open C for D13, so there all easily B class guys. I feel weird going out there and having the only stock quad, as of front end, rear end, exhaust, motor. lol
