I race at haspin acres currently in the harescramble series, but am looking into doing something different next season. Just looking for some info on how the District 15 compares to haspin: difficulty and turnout? Haspin is mainly woods and no open sections, does district 15 have open sections or just woods, any huge hillclimbs? There are usually around 50 to 75 quads at haspin. Any information would be helpful.

I race XC in d 15 and GP. Ussualy a decent turnout with 30 - 40 quads.

Is that total quads or overall? What class do you race? I raced C at haspin but am going to move up to B next year either at haspin or the d15. What are the tracks like? Are the set up like GNCC or more like haspin?

hey firefigherjosh, will you be at the race in culver this weekend? I seen on the site there is a XC race the 29. I may try to make it there, but my quad blew up at the ironman. I may be able to borrow a quad from someone I have lended mine to when he was in my position.

Yes I will be there the 29 in Culver. That sucks about your quad. I was there at the Iroman too. Not racing though.

about 25 - 30 quads in the B class sometimes more.

A class 10 - 20 quads. Prally be alot more quads now that the Nationals are over.

This year there is only a A and B class. Next year there is going to be a C class I Belive. I run B class. I drive a Blue ranger lifted with a red XC ready 400. Stop by and sya hi.

Culver is more like a GNCC I guess you could say. Some woop out fields. alot of woods. some tight sections. Not really any hills though.

I raced 1 GP race last year and it is part MX and part XC. Really fun. I will be racing the Utility class next year in GP and the C class in HS.

firefighterjosh,

What time does the race start this weekend? If a go I will look for you. I will be there in a dark grey 2500HD, with possibly a white 400ex. This is my buddies quad.

Do you know why this year they had only A and B classes? Is d15 growing and still new or just low turnout this year? I know someone you races mx on dirtbikes in d15 and he thinks it is awesome. I just want something different than going to haspin for every single race.

Will you be at the team race in november? I am not sure of the race this weekend, but I will be at the team race with my dad for sure to check out the series before next year.(Like going with my dad because he has the company truck which means free gas!)

Thanks for all the info, and if I am going for sure I will let you know and stop by.

I think it is growing. they have always had A and B class. Don't know why they never had a C class. Prally just because there isn't a whole lot of turnout. Next year I am going to start out racing C class. Not sure what there plans are for next year. Hopefully some diffrent tracks.

O yea and No I will not be at the team race. I may try racing MX this winter at the Motoplex though

Thanks for the info.

What time do the races start, and how many have there been this year?

Quads are suppose to start at 2pm. ussually start 2:30 - 3pm. I would get there around 1:30pm. Gives you time to go sign in and stuff.

There is ussually 9 - 13 races a year. kinda depends on who is holding them. Culver holds most of them.

Do dirtbikes race before quads or do they race a different day, and just curious how long are the races, 2 hours + a lap, or 1.5 hours + a lap?

Sorry for all the questions, but they keep coming to me after I post each time. Thanks again for all the help and hopefully I will not have to bug you anymore.

Np man I had alot of questions too.

Bikes race before the quad. Ussually a diffrent track set - up too. We ussually go 1 hr + a lap. about a 8 mile sloop. Some tracks will run 1.5 hours.

Sounds good, hopefully I can get a quad and race this weekend. I am buring the 416 kit right now since I have to rebuild the entire engine. With your 416 kit did you install heavy duty studs?

I am in the mood for racing after I only got 2.5 laps at the ironman before the quad blew up.

I bought the quad from a guy I race with, with the engine already built and yes I belive it has HD studs. I would put them in anyways. Better to be safe then sorry.

Looks like it is going to be muddy. I dont think I will have a quad for this weekend, but still might show up to check out the series. Watching or racing I sure I will have a good time if I can make it.

Hopefully you have a quad. It should be a fun one. Culver is kinda sandy so it might not be too bad.

How much does it cost to race there, and also how much is the fee to get in?

firefighterjosh

$5 to get in
$20 to race

Do you already have your AMA card and stuff?

If you need a AMA card and stuff i belive it is $35 for a yearly AMA and a $20 D card

Josh the 400 doesn't have HD headstuds, but going with the GT Thunder is smart.

I will be at the race on Sunday as long as I don't find anything wrong when I am getting the 450 ready. I'll be near Josh so stop and say Hi.

I do have my AMA card (expires this month), but do not have a district card. I dont think I will be racing. I got the motor off yesterday and have been cleaning it up while I wait on the wiseco piston, head studs, and cluth.

I will stop by and probaly have many more questions for you guys.

I will be in a blue ranger with 33s and a 2 place open trailer witha red 400ex. Might have a White LTR too. David will have a Grey Chevy Duramax with a inclosed trailer. We should be next to eachother. I ussually get there around 1:30ish.

Sounds good, I may be coming alone, and if that is the case I will be in a red jeep wrangler. I will probaly be there around then, unless I find a quad to race, then I will probaly be there a little bit earlier.

I'll be there. I'm trying to find an A-arm for my YFZ. Bent it at the Ironman.

Can anyone give me directions to this track? Every time I try to get a map with the address given it says there is no match, and gives an alternative one. I am coming from Indianapolis. Thanks

hareracer I just talked to you today lol. I had no clue it was you lol.

It was a fun race just for some reason I got really tired fast lol.

I screwed up my arm too. My fingers went numb and my elbow makes poping sounds:scary:

Does anyone know what time the team race starts at this weekend? Also do they have an ironman class for the team race events? I tried calling the number posted for the track, but the number was disconected!
