wont start in neutral

my 400 ex wont start in neutral unless i have the clutch pulled in, just put a new clutch in, adjusted the cable so i have a little play in the lever. neutral switch is hooked up, im baffled now.

by neutral switch do you mean the one on the bottom end of the motor?? That happened to me and it was filled with crud so I pulled the wire and cleaned it up, and it fixed the problem.

^^^^^ happened to me too, just clean it out see if that fixed it.
