I have an 05 400ex and my grab bar is starting to get ground down from some wheelies that went a little too far back. Is there any kind of protecter I can buy for it? If not, any ideas what I use to keep it protected?

I'd say find a clear rubber hose with the right diameter slice it on one side and wrap it around. Up to you how to keep it on there, tape, wireties ect...

You can buy a prm grab bar to go around your stock, and it'll protect your subframe.

Do you have a link to a seller of these? How about a pic of one if no link is available. TIA

Yeah this is a GREAT idea! :huh
He's grinding down his grab bar on the pavement, but as you suggested, the pavement will never grind through the rubber hose.
WTF

I've got a steel plate that I took off my quad just after I bought it, you pay for shipping and I'll give it to you no charge.

Spray on bed-liner might work for a while, or lots of skateboard griptape.

A guy at the local shop cuts the grab bar part off the sub frame and then welds it up and installs a 250r grab bar.

I just added some pipe insulation on my grab bar. I broke two without it. Now the foam turns and I havent broke another yet.

Home depot buy some rubber hose and put a slit down it and hose clamp in the the grab bar. I did it and it gives extra grip for your foot to if you put it on the grab bar.
