Just got a question about my stock front sprocket. I mostly ride in trails with some track riding. I was thinking of changing my front to a 14t from a 15t. Will that make a really big difference in the trails? Right now the trails I ride I have to ride in 2nd gear, if I change to the 14t would I be able to ride in 3rd without having to shift back down to 2nd all the time? And would it be geared to low for some track racing? The track I ride on I mostly ride in 4th, would I be able to ride it mostly in 5th?

You sould notice a difference. I would try it. If it isnt what you are lookin for you are not out that much, $13. Then you still have a spare sprocket.

cool that's what I was thinkin about doin. Would I have to replace the chain with just a front sprocket change? I know I do when I get new one's (front and back).

If your chain is not worn you don't need to replace it. You don't have to take out any links. Just put on the sprocket, ajust the chain and go.

i had a 14t on my 450r and changed it to a 13t to get out the hole quicker and i noticed a pretty big difference.........i noticed that i was changing gears quicker also.....

so i think you'll see a difference in trail ridin if u get the 14t
