My leg..

Today I was jumpin the mojave, and my leg slipped off the peg, behind it that is (have nerfs) and i wasnt wearing boots :scary: . so my shoe fell off and my leg got wrapped around the rear tire. and i landed on it..

it hurts alot, but i didnt break anything on me or the quad haha.

the kid i bought it from took them off. and sold them or something, but he doesnt have them.

are there any heel gaurds besides the IMS ones? there to much money for just heel gaurds.

And that's the reason I don't want to ride ANYTHING that doesn't have heelgaurds.

No one likes to admit it but I'll bet most everyone has had their foot slip off the peg and get ran over by the rear tire. Including me.:o :grr:

happened to me on my 250ex with nerf guards,slipped off ran it over, kept riding went to the doctor 6 months later (didnt want to ruin summer vacation for broken bones) 2 broken bones in my foot and one in the ball of my foot, 8 months later and im out of the cast , and in theropy cuz i meesed up my ankle while riding with a cast on

I used to always ride with them on. But I took them off. IMO it makes me more aware of whats going on. Without them I felt so sloppy and careless riding so without them makes me think of what im doing. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Ill probaly wrap my leg around the tire one day and put them back on:o

6 months later? the bones would have healed by themselves by then

I bought some for like 30$ and pieced them together to fit onto my quad.

Best part about heal gards for a 400ex is you can tie them into the fenders to keep them from floping around. makes the quad so much more ridible.

what did you buy?

im thinking of either buying some sheet metal and sort of copying the IMS ones, or buying stock 400ex heel gaurds and modifying them to fit.

That happened to me the first ay i had 400ex. i hadn't gotten my nerfs in yet and my foot slipped off while only gettin liek 2 feet air for around 10ft distance, wasn't even a jump just a bump in the field. hurt liek crazy for weeks.

I ran over my foot at the dunes:o Luckly I had boots on. I was going 3 gear and it killed my quad when my foot got stuck. About ripped me off the quad:scary:
