we used to charge 4 bucks to fill one up, if u are going to be an avid paintballer i would look into getting like a big full size tank so u can fill it up yourself.... its incredibly cheaper and u can charge ur friends and actually have it pay for itself.

At my local paintball shop its 2 bucks a fill. Some guys I used to play with had their own tanks, and they would charge $1 that way there was always money to pay to have the big tank filled.

I have another question. I'm new to this sport and thinking about getting into it. I have a spyder Sonix and was woundering if it is a good paintball gun. I took a few shots out my backdoor and hit a wood pile and it did pretty good the paintballs were about 1-3 inches apart. Is there any upgrades for these guns?

Yikes. Those are some ridiculous prices. The place I used to get mine filled at was a dollar. Any size. CO2 or compressed air.

You aren't going to be worrying about the price of Co2 refills once you start buying lots of paintballs haha.

haha yea i know what u mean... i love it when paintballers complain about gas prices going up, but they have no problem spending 50 bucks for a case of paintballs and buying acouple cases at every practices

If you want a good upgrade get a barrel.

yeah actionvillage is the way to go, with the sonix you could prolly get a rocking trigger and a halo hopper, than youll be poppin out balls faster than so autocockers, the rocking trigger says you can shoot up to 30 balls a sec, but with out a halo hopper and maybe a bolt you wont be able too, i also suggst get a compressed air tank, fiber glass would be good. there REALLY light and last longer than Co2 and are better period, i have a spyder that will chew up a cocker and SUM other fast A** guns, pretty cool im bout 20 min away from action village too haha

I love HPA tanks:D ! Over here all of the scuba shops fill our paintball HPA tanks for free and a 80cuft scuba rental tank, for Paintball refill usage, is only $5. Dive license isn't required since we have a PB users list but we are required to take a scuba tank safety course.

Shooting 30bps means very little if you are not hitting your target. It only takes one shot to eliminate a competitor :eek2: I have eliminated many people with my old Dragunfly Mech (Mechanical Cocker copy) while they were using marker setups that cost 10x more.

Get a barrel kit that will allow you to shoot different sizes of paint. I use a Bezerk barrel kit with .687, .689 and .691 inserts and (1) barrel 12" barrel with Cocker threads along with a 12" barrel with Spyder threads. A proper paint to barrel match will help with accuracy and efficiency.

ya that is nice also... nothing like showing up to a paintball tourney and having it paid for and given as much paint as u need and sometimes even a gun to use. plus all the cool stuff like t-shirts and hats and jerseys....

I never had a FULL sponsorship, but i did get alot of free stuff.

Good upgrades to consider are a barrel (14" is best in my opinion) and HPA. An electronic hopper wouldn't hurt (is the sonix an electro?), if it is, you'll almost definitely want a new hopper to keep up if you shoot a lot.
