Yes, I used to have Moose handguards (pretty big) and they blocked the wind really nicely. I would reccomend handguards for winter.

great question ruby! im now tossing around the idea as well :p ...you can bundle up in multiple layers but you can only wear so many gloves before its impossible to move your fingers. im also interested to see what people think of the powermadds for this type of application.

I had the moose brushguard with the Cyra rally ? handguards, they are big but they blocked a lot of wind during the winter time!

I have powermadds on my banshee, they are allright... the mounts coming loose at tracks kinda pisses me off though

I am thinking about purchasing a set of powermadd handguards as well, and I never thought about it having much effect in the winter. Pretty cool, I think i'll def. look into it further.

Heated handlebar grips? I heard they have them available. Check it out for those of you in some godforsaken snow town!

We are wearing our jackets out here now that it's in the 70s. If only they had cooling handlebar grips for our summers. Ever sit on a black vinyl seat sitting in the sun during a 120F day?????

like he said, he used the moose handguards and they helped quite a bit.. almost enough to make me want to ride his 250 during the winter instead. i have powermadds and compared to having nothing, they still help. however, if you're just looking to block the cold and not to win any beauty contests then get something bigger than powermadds. nothing worse than frozen hands while riding.. :ermm:

let me all you teach you something. its very smart. wear latex gloves under your riding gloves. like docters gloves. your hands will even sweat a little no matter how cold it is. i do all the time when i race and its cold out otherwise i have trouble pullin the clutch up cause my knuckles are forzen up. ;)

If it's cold and im riding I just put 2 gloves on each hand, your hand looks rather "swollen" but it keeps you really warm.

my dad has heated handle grips on his scrambler along with some power madds, they're awesome in the cold weather. even with the heated handle gips turned off the power madds do block alot of wind / roost.I'll b buying a set thing winter.
