improves ur over all throttle response. how ever if you put cams in or bore your motor id take it out and put a rev box on instead

it gave me more bottom, and mid. with a good increase in throttle response. personally, i would continue running it even with engine mods as long as u don't have a rev box with an advance timing curve.

I run it with my hotcams stage I and 11:1 wiseco... I did everything at once, so i dont know what i got from jsut the key, but the bike is completely different than any other 400 I've ever ridden... its worth the $20 something bucks it costs...

not to highjack your thread, but when installing the key do you need to have a new left side case gasket? The tutorial on installing the key on this website says you need one but I don't know why you would unless yours was already shot??

As a general rule, always replace your gaskets. Re-using a gasket increases your chances of leaking dramatically. They're not that expensive.

Anyone know a good place to get the gasket I need to replace?

C&D Racing.

C&D racing is always a good one, but for a small item like a gasket, I'd suggest your local dealership or race shop. It's generally more expensive, but you don't have to pay shipping.

when i installed mine, i reused the gasket. they don't get compressed like the head gaskets do, so u can reuse them as long as they r not torn or r very old. mine didn't have very many hrs on either. but a head gasket or base gasket should always be replced...
