I wanna paint my Clutch cover, not exactly sure what color, My question is, I have never removed the clutch cover, Is there anything I need to know about it before I take it off? Is all kinds of oil going to come off?

If you have a clutch cover that you painted yourself, post it up!

Paint will come right off, powdercoat, call Pappy. You could probably tip the quad towards the other side to keep the oil in.

For me i c an take my clutch cover off and the oil will stay in the motor.

Heres my cover i painted.

Kind of hard to see. I used high gloss black and it holdign perfect and really shinny.

If you don't feel like draining the oil, as infantry said, just tip the quad over on it's side. Definitely powdercoat it, regular paint will not hold up for long. Along with that I would order another o-ring for it, a lot of times when you take the o-ring off of the cover it will get stretched, its fairly inexpensive and will ensure a good seal. :)

You can see my clutch cover, powdercoat holds up pretty well, but over time it does chip from my boot.

My oil stays in the motor with the cover off. If powder coating chips a little then i would just paint it. Cheeper to tuch up and cheeper.

First off he doesnt have the same quad as you. Second learn to spell, and lastly it chips over time, not right away and thats just if your boot rubs the clutch cover quite a bit.

No, you're bike could be shined from front to rear, and you'd still be slow.

In that pic, i was actually just about to roll my quad into the trailer to head to a National Dirttrack Race, so the ride height is set fairly low for TT.

Thanks, JAY
