The shock mount being so close to the Ball joint suggests that arey "Long Shock" A-arms.

As for the travel. The automotive balljoints would be the limiting factor there. j

No they aren't long travel.
They are +1/2" and standard travel.
Our MGC series A arms are long travel and standard travel.
The bend that you see has to be in there. Very similiar to the YFZ450 A arm. The shock mount is in the same location as stock.

Any thing else?

If they are chromoly they will also have a lower unsuspended weight.

If they are chromoly they will also have a lower unsuspended weight. (4130 steel tubing = chromoly)

Most top quality aftermarket a-arms weigh more then what stock a-arms do.

You mean unsprung weight.

Uh yea.. lol.

Brain fart.. thanks for the correction.

The aftermarket arms usually weigh more because they are significantly wider.. more material. 4130 Cromoly with the same width.. +1/2 is close enough, would weigh less.

The advantage of chromoly is that is has a higher tensile strength than mild steel does, so you can use thinner walled tubing and still have a stronger part.

If it uses the same thickness.. it will weight the same but be much stronger. But you should be able to use a slightly thinner wall and still have more strength, and less weight for the same width a-arm.
