hey i hav a pair of sandpaddles that im changing rims on.i took it 2 this 1 place called bert's mega mal in covina,ca. they r charging me $50for the swaping & a new valve 4 the rim wich costs me $3..the valve's price i dont care, but the swaping sounds like a rip off....how much do u guys pay 2 swap the wheels if u guys dont do it yur self???

Just called my shop today to see about getting mine done and they said its $10 a tire

Yeah your definitly gettin ripped. are you takin them just the rims and tires or are you takin em the whole quad and new tires for them to swap everything around.

Even then a shop by me charged me 15 per tire when i gave em my quad and the new rims for them to remove tires from oem rims, put on new bajas, and back on quad.

quad tires are a PITA to change/mount. specially if they have big sidewalls.

i do all my own tires, but i work there. last one i charged to swap rims was $56. so that sounds about right.

holy crap..i paid $10 for 2 tires/rims...would have been the smae proce if i did all 4. when i got my front hipers, the guy i got them from mounted new tires on them for free...

berts mega mall in azusa right? yea i love right by there, i usually take them to wal-mart they'll do small atv, lawn mower tires for 4.50 a pc. i think and the valve stem for like 1.50. In fact i even think there's a wal-mart right next to bert's.

just replaced my stockers on my DVX with hipers, get a bead breaker, an extra set of hands and a few beers and you can do it at home

don't pay more then 5 bucks a tire. it takes them like 30 seconds to remove and put on a tire.

why are you getting new stems. you don't have to. but 3 a stem is about right.

for more then 5 a tire i would do it myself. take it to some back alley place...they will do the same job for alot cheaper. the mr.tires and all have regulations and can't break them. but the local shops will do it. make them an offer and see if they take it.

I pay tire kingdom $8 to dismount and remount two wheels. And you can get 2 valve stems from Advance Auto for $2. Your getting hosed. Its rediculous how much places charge for changing tires. My atv dealership wants $25 a wheel.:eek2: I told them...."No, I take it down the street and have two done for $8".:rolleyes:

They are the most overpriced SOB's man, i swear. They were gona charge a friend of mine to fix an air leak in his front sand tires 95$. Hahaha, we had them done somewhere elses fro 10 all together. Hey by the way, to the two guyz who live by Berts, have u guyz been to Azuza canyon to go riding?

ive been thinking about going there but dont know how good the riding is, i like el mirage for the dry lake and gorman is always a good place to go to, azusa canyon is only 20 minutes from me so if it was good i would probably end up going there. have u been there b4? And yea berts is overpriced, tried to sell me a front sprocket for 29.99, just laughed and told them ill drive down to chaparrals instead :)

my brother told me they charged 8 each + 3 4 the valve...it comes out being 44 for 4 wheels & they are charging me 50 4 2!!!:grr:
