WellI just got back from the honda dealer and if they still have this Black 05 R by the weekend, I should have it. They gave us a great price of 5200. Solid. No other prices. That was the best that 3 dealers in the area could do. Plus I know that I am the only one that will have some real time on it.

Cant wait!!!, but I will miss my 300ex:(

nope its being sold. Brand new countershaft and 11:1 piston in her. Not even back together yet and I have a race Sunday! thanks god for my friends motor.

No I already have my XC machine lol. The good thing you can taker some parts off your 400 and put it on you 450..like rims. You will love the 450. My bud has a 450 all decked out for XC and this thing is bad ***.

well I did the math and $775 of parts can be transfered to the R. Then I have $875 worth of stuff to sell.Thats with making up cheap prices for the stuff too. But I have over 4000 in parts in my 300 in the past year. I really dont know what to do.

I would part it out back to stock and sell it. I have been trying to do that with the banshee but its kinda been a hassle since i live in BFE and the nearest UPS place is 30 mins away:scary: Arnt ya glad I never got ahold of my friend for that 400 carb lol

it prob will go back to stock. But its got a 11:1 piston in it
and Id had to leave the stock pipe on,but oh well. I am still trying to figure out if I should go threw with the deal.

Honestly, I would try and find a used 450R. Back in May of this year, I found a 450R nearby with only 2 hours on it...with full Nerfs/Heal guards/Pegs for $4550.

My pops just picked up an 04' R at the beginning of the month for $3700....it had more than 2 hours on it, but less than 50.

Just throwin the info out there...might be able to save some money.

Ya I would still look around too. 5200 isnt that great. You can find used ones with under 10hrs on them for 4600.

yea but this i sbrand new. ANd i need to finance so buying used isnt an option. I will not have the money for this until I sell my 300 and the parts and then work next summer. Then it will be paid off. In the mean time I will order a Rossier pipe/Tusknerfs,and Prodesign kill switch and throw all the stuff from my 300ex onto the R. I just dont know cause I really need a worked 450r to race in A class, but if I just use this year as like a practice year/build up year i think that I will be okay. Im still not sure....lol.

I would buy the 450. Switch all your stuff over. Sell the 300. Pay the darn thing off next summer. Hell race it stock, still has to be a good machine lol. Then next winter you will have a project 450R:D

I agree, I bought an 06 used, it had some minor problems that I had to FIND, but for the price I would do it again! FYI-I paid less than $5200 and it ain't stock! :devil:

$5200 for an 05 is a rip off even if it is new - 07s are out now they should be trying to give it away!

none of my dealers will go cheaper. Thats 5200 OTD. They wanted 6799 for the 07's + prep/title/tax. So your looking over 7. So 5200 is a great price for my dealers. Again I have to buy new because I need to finance it. I think we are going Saturday to pick her up.

Go to a bank near you and take a 5000$ personal loan. In the long run its cheaper and you can buy a used R with goodies on it already.

Coming off a suspended and hooked up 300 you'll miss the handling at first. I know I did when I got my R since I had a fully suspended 400ex at the time.

Just something to think about.

yeah i understand that, but I woud like to have a new quad so that I know that they bearings and everything are good and that the motor is good. I would like to buy a used worked/R but my parents would much rather buy new.

Hey Sjorge I just bought a brand new 05 off the show room floor this past week for 4800.00 from a dealer on ebay. He has a few more left and one is listed right now. I had it shipped to me no taxes out the door and all for 5100.00 Larsons Cycle. One heck of a deal. Look the up.
