A friend of mine is having trouble with her banshee. When it gets hot it is hard to start. If you kick it hard enough it will start, but she can't. Pull or push start it starts fine. They put a new cdi box on it. That didn't fix it. Any help would be appreciated
:D

I am sorry to say but that sounds like compression

Whats the jetting like on the pilot circuit? If its to rich when the bike is warmed up you can be flooding it just a little which could be causing the hard HOT start. When pulled or push started the the cyclinders are rotating fast enough to burn up the excess fuel as kick starting it wouldnt.

It could also be the float height as well if they are out of adjustment

I wondered about compression. Because if you kick it really hard it will start. I don't know anything about the carbs on it. But I thank you for the info. I think I'll suggest to them to run a compression check.

Do a compression Test. I think (don't quote me) each cyclinder should be around 120ish.

Stock it should be around 120ish as the others have said. Is it stock, or do you have some mods?

if its the 2into1 carb set-up the pilot jet should be around 48-50, thats assuming its the trinity 33mm or 35mm. But it is prob time for new top end or maybe rings if lucky
