Almost any auto parts store should have some high temp engine paint. When I painted my 250r bottom end, I used some high quality Rustoleum spray paint, and it has held up fine, and it looks good.

I painted mine with some 1200 heat paint. I haven't got to see if it holds yet, but im sure it does.

I painted my cylinder with some black high temp rattle can paint of some kind. I think rustoleum. It held up good for 7-8 months of riding. Looks a little duller than when it was new but it didn't chip or peal off. For the cases I used automotive apoxy primer, a base coat, then clear coat. The cases dont get as hot so you can get away with paint like that. The key is though to make shure even more than usual that the prep is done right. My cases ended up pealing from oil and gas, and lack of decent prep work. I'm getting them powdercoated before the motor goes back together.

nope.. accually there is a paint called VHT or sumthing along that line, but it dissapates heat, i saw and ad for it on the TV show Trucks, the guy sprayed a peice of steel with it and the heated it up with a torch and picked it up like nothing, it wasnt even warm. i doubt that it will keep an accual engine that cool but it couldnt hurt.

I used normal high gloss spray paint. It holds up perfect.
