How To Patch Sidewall Blow Out?

I have two half inch slices in my sidewall of my Razor tire. I was wanting to fix the tire for a spare. Can anyone tell me how they would go about patchin it from the inside?

thats a tough one...sidewall fixes are rare..especially if they are big..a patch prob wont hold..good luck

If it is a front put a tube inside, rear best of luck on how to get ride of it. Find someone with a 300ex and it can be used there with a tube. The 300 will not give that much wheel spin to ruin the tube in the rear.

not possible, well it is but i doubt it will hold, just buy a new tire and save yourself the headaches..good luck

I had the same problem a few months ago. I tried using plugs, and with 4 in each hole, it still leaked. I took it to a Big-O store & they patched it for 10 bucks. It has worked fine since then.

you have two options, take it to a tire joint and have it stitched and run a tube in it or by a new tire you cant' plug it

as a matter of fact this just happened to me today:( me and a buddy were about 1.5 mile from the pickup and rock met rim with tire trying to keep them apart. needless to say they met anyway. heyyyy im a poet and didnt know it:rolleyes: it just had to be when i have a $20 bill, -$14 in the bank, $3 in the savings and 8 days from payday. next check goes toward the security deposit for a house. so im pretty much screwed.

when we got to town i ordered a Waaa burger, a side of french Cries, with a Whine-a-ken to drink;) and my shoulder kinda hurts, so i think i will call a Wambulance.:huh

i have used a heavy duty truck tire patch from auto zone on a stock front tire. it worked great and never leaked. it was about a 2 inch cut in the sidewall. less than $4 to fix.

this is what u do u take about 10 strips of tire pathes stick them together,,,soak it in glue and stick it in there... u can then alos stick more in if needed...and also u could run some slime in it... this will work for a spare

My riding buddy sliced his sidewall requiring 6 plug to seal the hole. That was 9 mos. ago and he is still riding strong on it without any problems.

My suggestions are 1) if on the rim try plugging it, 2) if it won't hold air try a tube, 3) if all esle fails buy a new one.

this just happened to me last weekend, brand new holeshot mx's, the first time i ever rode them. i got about a one inch slice in the sidewall of my back tire. i havent done anything with yet though, cuz my quad is just sittin in the barn, and im waited on my head to get back from pro fab. i think im just gonna try and plug it though.

it kinda depends if its in the frameside ur not gunna patch it. if iits on the otherside u could probly patch it but just buy a new one
