I'm in the market for a new CD player for my truck. I know Pioneer has really good quality and a good track record. How good are Panasonic CD players? I found a panasonic cd player with full color display for 200 bucks, Pioneer's equivilant(sp?) is 100 dollars more than the panasonic... Any input would be great. Thanks,

Adam

Eclipse, Pioneer, Panasonic, Alpine are all great. I have a $20 dual mp3 flipface one. It's chit, but for $20, I'll take it! Try to find one with a nice EQ ;) If you are shopping online, www.crutchfield.com

Crutchfield is pricey, but their customer service is the BEST. They will take any return/exchange for any reason and will walk you through the entire installation. This day and age, that is worth a few bucks.

I bought it from a kicker dealer and had it for a year. I think I'm good.

I'd say buy from wherever is cheapest, why not? (also check warranty  ) Search on google for who has cheapest. BTW..on ebay, kicker compVR's and alpine type-R's are only in the 90-110 dollar range, that's very cheap! My friend bought a CVR15 a couple weeks ago.

If you make sure there a authorized dealer there is no reason not to buy subs from ebay.

I think i'm gonna go with the pioneer player, the panasonic only puts out 18 RMS and the pioneer is 22 RMS

I live by pioneer also I have a pioneer head unit, subs, components, amp for my highs, but I'm running a kenwood 1800 watt amp for the subs simply because its the best for under $200( 900W x 1 @ 1 ohm rms).

Personally I like woofersetc.com a lot but www.sounddomain.com has awesome customer service along with great prices I mostly buy from them.

Amen someone that knows where to look! I should correct myself. I live by pioneer unless I find a good deal. I have a Premire head unit, JBL 1200.1 amp (actually bought it off a guy on this site), and a Solobaric L7 15. A bunch of different **** but hey I spent alot less then all my friends did and my systems alot louder then theres for the price I paid.
