86 short rod to long rod conversion

k i ordered a long ord crank from danhung. my 86 style piston has about a 1/4inch play side to side witht he piston on the rod with the bearing installed. is this normal?

Yea, that's normal. It has nothing to do with your conversion.

i was just askin because my short rod had little play and this one has a bit more. but i guess well try it. any other things i need to kno about on this swap?

to use a 86 piston on a long rod you need a spacer kit, 5mm I think. it includes longer studs, collars, 2 gaskets and sometimes nuts.
