front shock

two of my friends have 2001 300ex's and they both have busted one of there front shocks. i just bought my brand new 01 300ex so should i expect my shock to break too? has any one had this problem?:huh

if you jump your quad and bottom out after a while they will break..me and my friend broke 4 in one summer and the warrenty cover it

It seems the only solution to breaking 300EX front lower shock mounts (unless you're covered under warranty), is to weld the mount eye more substantially to the shock tube. This seemed to be the answer for us. Please note it must be done very carefully lest you heat the shock to the point where the fluid blows out or the shock explodes.

I've done some pretty serious jumping with my 300ex and have bottomed out the fronts hundreds of times but they have never broke , though i have heard of this problem nuemerious times it doesn't scare me.
