250EX Key Switch Removal

I have an 06 250EX for my Son and he lost the key, is there anyway I can remove the switch all together??

And I would like to install a kill switch.

If you bring your vin code to the dealer they can order you a new key.

If you follow the wires from the ignition keyswitch you should find a spot where there are two little plugs. You should be able to unplug it there and either wire in a toggle/kill switch or you can just remove the keyswitch and plug the two ends together when you ride but you'll have to unplug them when it's not being ridden or you will drain the battery.
