I have found that a lot of shops do not have prices on their quads. I walk up and ask the guy how much? He has to go ask his boss. Now I wonder...is this his first day on the job? How could he be a salesman and not know how much the quad is?
He comes back and asks if I got a price from somewhere else yet. I said no. He said MSRP is $3899 for black and $3799 for red. Ok, so how much can I get it for? He comes up with a number that seems high. I ask why? He says....tax, title, doc fees..and such.
So I start calling around. It turns out that there is a price for a quad and also what they call "Out the door" price. This all seems like BS to me. In the end I bought out of state in California and I live in Arizona. The dealer delivered the quads free of charge. Well, it wasn't an add on price, so maybe it was built in. But I paid AZ state tax and doc fees that were what the MVD charges. In California it is called DMV, AZ calls it MVD....same thing. Anyway, I THINK I got a good deal. But I want to know what you guys think a good "Out the door" deal is per quad when you buy TWO quads at the same time. They were 2007 TRX250EX Reds. I already got the plates and titles from the MVD, so no other costs are being hidden. After you all weigh in I will let you know what I paid and I hope I didn't get dry humped. Now, being fair, I bought a total of 4 quads from the same salesman at the same dealership. So either I got a quantity discount, or I got hosed 4 times....or I just got an average deal. Let me know! You guys rock. I love this forum. :D

Ok.....so far it looks like I took it deep and hard. I am really going to kick myself in the rear for having to fess up here and say what I paid.....
$4111.00 out the door for my 2007 TRX250EX delivered to my door from Ca to AZ.
Man...I looked around too and could not come up with a better deal within a 4 hour drive. I am sure they are out there, but nobody was offering it to me.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess when I finally upgrade I will do some more shopping around.

Hey, I just now did the math. Looks like your GF rented her quad for 2 years at a price of 250bucks a year. Not bad after reading some of the other posts on this forum about renting quads in Glamis for a weekend! Tell her she is a great wheelerdealer!! Smoked me!

$8500 down the road for two new 2006 TRX 250 EX this past January. Incudes CA sales tax and Lic fees.

We've really enjoyed these machines. well worth the money.

Now I'm trying to decide: performance mods or just buy a bigger third one for dirt bike dad. always someone that wants to ride so it wont go to waste.

Thanks for paying as much as I did! Now I feel better! I was at 8250 out the door for two. I did take mine for a quick run down the street where I work, it does wind out quickly and doesn't go real fast, but as my buddy reminded me....I gotta go slow enough for my kids on their 90s to keep up with me.....so no biggie!. When they are ready for the 250's, maybe my wife and i will be ready for 450's! That's all daydreaming....we are in the middle of buying a new house...so you know how ALL the spending stops when you are in the middle of that.
