ok when i got my bike it didnt have and light. i was looking and how to the tail lights come on whe you hit the brake?

Someone correct me if im wrong but there is no brake light on the 03 400ex its just a tail light, i hope thats what ur talkin about. it dosent serve the dual purpose of a brake and tail light.

yes i know the 99's to 04 dont have a brake light. Im thinkin the 05's and newer have them. I know theres a conversion kit that you can buy on ebay.

yeah its like a 50$ kit, do a search on here "400ex brake light" there are several threads started already and have some instructions and pictures if you feel the urge to make ur bike have a brake light.
