Any tricks for removing thhe hub nut? I'm trying to change my axle and I can't get the hub nut to break free. I tried an impact wrench and it won't budge. Maybe heat it up?

What ft/lb does that impact wrench go up to? I recently had some trouble getting mine off too and bought an impact wrench at Home Depot for $100 that went up to 500 ft/lbs. It broke mine loose in about 5 seconds.

If you use a braker bar, try to get one that looks like the old style lugnut wrenches that were cross-shaped. This way, you can apply equal pressure which will help keep from stripping the nut.

The other thing you can do is load up your quad and take it to any diesel mechanic shop. I promise you they can get the nut off.

Not sure what ft lb the impact wrench goes up to. Soaked it in wd-40. Gonna try and heat it up tommorrow and then hit it with the impact wrench.
