BPG.."FallFest 06"

What a blast! Saturday was almost to packed with talent! Usually a good turn out is great, and this weekend was no exception. The biggest difference was that there were more top riders in attendence then most local mx races!

With a hog on the grill, tons of quads on the tracks and in the air, I almost couldnt get my gear out fast enough to get started taking pictures!

Dan had the tracks in killer shape, and a surprise crowd showed up on friday to get an early start on the weekend. There had been plenty of rain, but a strong chilling wind was doing its best to dry the tracks as fast as they could be watered

In less then 3 weeks, riders had gone from melting under a light weight jersey, to riding in anything short of a snow suit as temps hoovered in the mid 50's during the day

The Burke family was out in force, bringing with them several other top riders from D6, and they did not disapoint!

Rich was back from NJ and ready to have a weekend with no breakage of himself or his YFZ!

Randy Lehr was kicking some major *** on the tracks, and was easily the rider to beat if you had something to prove:macho

The last time I saw this rider he was wearing the latest in full leg casts:p This trip out was more enjoyable for him and he wasted no time showing everyone how badass a TRX90 could be!

Every jump had someone pulling big air, and every turn had roost flying as the tracks were packed full of great riders and awesome machines.

The crisp fall air and beautiful fall sky made for one killer day for me as a photographer.

The Crum family made the trip up to meet some of the folks at BPG and from Atvriders.com.

Jody Crum finished this immaculant Z400 the day before he was tragically killed in an auto accident. He passed away the day before he was supposed to bring his ride to BPG to show it off, but his brother wanted to keep his dream alive and we were all grateful he did.

Seeing his dad and brothers at the track that Jody loved so much with his pride and joy brought me to tears.

This weekend turned quite expensive when this rider's mishap took out his right side a arms and shock:scary:

I made my way from track to track and was not disappointed as each time I could easily find great shots to share!

Cody decided to wait awhile before hitting the big tracks as they were slammed with super fast riders. He took his 2 wheeler for a few laps

Just walking back to my rig to upload pics found me snapping even more as riders grab some big air on the jumps close to the service road

Holy moly, is that a pic of donny lamborn(#80) i know its his bike, havent talked to him in a while and was wandering if he was riding again. Great pics too pappy!

It seems like only yesterday I was standing in this same spot with sweat soaked clothes, now I was shivering as the sun sunk lower on the horizon.

Quite a few of the riders know me well, and I can always count on them hammimg it up for my lens.

Lehr's quad broke and thankfully someone loaned him a quad so he could enjoy the rest of the day!

I was having a blast. I do enjoy taking pictures, and when the riders get into it, great shots are made!

My trackside muscle, gbcap can now say he has done every jump BPG has to offer! He has not been riding MX for more then a few months and is making it look way to easy!

He was disappointed but was having a ton of fun watching the other riders rip it up.

The days riding done, a nice fire was started and everyone gathered around the fire to watch a UFC PPV fight.

Sunday morning dawned with the sound of a few small 2 strokes ripping up the tracks. It did not take long for others to wake up and get the day started!

Vet LTZ was out today and was making his hybrid work!

With the dust down, the sun perfect, and a few clean riders on the track I couldnt pass up getting a few action close ups

The big downhill jump got a makeover. It is now a small table into the downhill. You can still go way big!

I had a great time, It took about 10 laps for my quad to start peeling teeth off of the rear sprocket.:eek2: It was hooken up pretty good.:devil:

I bent my Ti-axis shock shaft, twisted the lower gibson a arm, kinked the top, broke my spindle and messed up the bottem right a arm mount but luckly i was able to walk away with only scrapes bruises

Fink was trying to get the down hill ski jump backwards. the landing didn't have enough lip to make it happen. notice which way the arrow is pointing. good thing dan was blocking the track with the water truck.

Great pics Pappy & Greg! It was a fun weekend for sure! Hey Pappy, the gallery has about 390 pics up. Is there more? They look great and I'm interested in getting a CD from you. I'm looking for one shot in particular. I was on Sunco's 450r at the "low" track on Sat. afternoon and hitting the triple at the bleachers. Got a shot of that? I'd love to blow it up and get it framed and give it to him for Christmas with a snappy little one liner. I know he's reading this so I just needed a little payback for the "need a date" post on BPG site.

Ant trys not to ride the 300 at breezewood He loves the 450 but in d-6 he is not old enough to race yet ... So all his seat time is spent on the 450 when we go up to breezewood ... These crazy kids want to go back up om the 28th because our d-6 race was cancelled ........ Sure hope the wind isn't as bad as last weekend my poor old bones are just thawed ...LOL...
