Spray the bike with WD-40 after washing it. Frame guards would have prevented it, but now that it's there just wash it off and prevent it with WD-40.

Wait until you are ready to PC the frame, then but the guards. If you put them on now all you will end up doing is covering up the problem making harder to keep rust free.

I believe PJ1 has spray paints that match the OEM colors, so buy some of that(should be available on special order from your dealer), adhere to the instructions per sanding and primering. That should give you decent results, then invest in some frame guards. They are the only way you will prevent the rubbing that causes the rusting. Plus, the aluminum guards look pretty cool.

You can also use a product called Navel Jelly it stops rust and then you can sand it..and spray it or powder coat it..

If it is bad surface rust, or you want it gone forever, try POR15. their web site is here (http://www.por15.com) . I have the super started kit that I have used for a few spots on my project Mustang, and it has worked well there.

I just used the cheapest spray paint money can buy and painted over every thing. If you ride you quad all the time, it wont be able to rust.

Everyones frame rusts where the boots hit it. I just hit it with a little wd 40 after washing.. The worn off paint is kinda a status symbol, means that you ride the thing and are a experienced rider.

Grip tape?? Instead of taking the paint off your frame you screw you boots up.

What'd you do to those rear fenders?
