300ex chain problem

the chain on my 300 won't stay tight. withen 5min of tightening it it will completely slack off and come of the sprocket. Everything looks streight and I made sure everything was tight but it still comes off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

chain may be worn, if you can pull the chain more than 1/2 a tooth off the back of the rear sprocket, the chain is toast. also check your axle bearings and swingarm bearings for play.

Also make sure your swinger isn't cracked around the bearing carrier.
