timing chain ???

at idle, I cannot hear it, when I rev it up and on its way back down, i heard a loud chain nosie, i am pretty sure its the timing chain loose, can I tighten it myself? is the tensioner no good anymore? how do you check? thanks alot

pull out the tensioner,if you can get it to go all the way back in with the flange against the cylinder without retracting the plunger first,your chain is shot.;)

If your talking about the one for the 400ex Service honda has it the cheapest.

yes, most use the CRF 450r dirtbike timing chain. it is one link thicker than the stock one.
