Received flexxbars and new Houser stem and mounted everything up. Now I dont know where to put my key switch and warning lights. Any Ideas? Pics? Also i do xc racing and some GNCC so I am courious what color bushing do you run on your flexxbars? They came with the red bushings(hard) and I installed the yellow ones. I havnt rode it yet but cant wait. I am trying to get ready for crawfordsville GNCC. Thanks

You could just unplug the key switch and not use it. I know that ROX makes an aftermarket key/temp light dash for IMS steering stems. I dont know how similiar the houser stem is but maybe it would bolt on as well on the houser stem. Or you could just fabricate something to mount on there to hold the key and temp light. I know the key switch you need a 1 inch hole saw bit. I dont remember what the temp light hole size is though. I made a lil dash to hold them once temporarily out of some sheet steel. I have a ROX aluminum dash on my stock steering stem with tag bars.

Ive heard so many great things about the Flexx bars. I plan on gettin a set very soon. From what ive been told the softest bushings are way to soft. Better to stick with the medium or hardest bushings. especially if your 180 lbs or heavier. Let me know how you like them.

I mounted my temp light in the bar pad that came with my flexxbars. I then mounted my key switch in the side panel right in front of the tank.

I'll try to get a pic of it this week.

What class are you racing at the Ironman? Have you figured out how to get good starts with the e-start?

I have the Houser stem and Flexx bars as well, great setup. I run the yellow elastomers.

c 35+ class. I do O.K. most of the time on my starts.I found out that if you crank the engine over a few times with the killswitch off it seems to start every time when it counts!

yeah, I just made a hole on the side of my plastic right next to my hood and mounted both the key and the light on there and they hold great and look nice also. I will try to get pics of it as soon as I can if i can.

quick easy fix is to zip tie the key to something by the opening in the hood and zip tie your light to your bars, or under the hood where you can still see it.

You can kind of see my key right below the filler neck of the radiator as far as my light i just put it under the hood.

I just drilled some holes and mounted the key and lights in the plastic.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I mounted the lights in the bar pad(I cut the small holes in the cover and cut out the foam on the pad/ it looks good there) and wire tied the switch on the lower part of the stem as Jaypee recommended.I may install the switch in the plastic after the race. Thanks again.
