You would have to get a shock relocater to put 400ex length shocks.

If you don't want to spend a ton of money, get some 400ex shocks and the relocator. I did this on my 250x hybrid and it works fine. Try to get a relocator that keeps the stock geometry as this will result in the best performance.

If money is not the problem, a-arms and shocks are certainly an option. But do it right and do not go with some sort of front end widening kit to be used with 400ex shocks that screws up the geometry and gives you a bunch of bump steer. I also have a concern with how well the widening kits would hold up to jumping (which you obviously like to do or you would not be bottoming out your stock shocks).

You might just check on getting some aftermarket shocks that are made for your quad and just use your stock a-arms and top shock mount locations.

Just my $.02. Others will obviously have differing opinions of the widening kits.

Elka and works make shocks for the 250. Hermann (sp) and american star racing make wider a-arms. I have talked to people that have works for their 250 and they said it was 100x better.
