View Full Version : need help with a yamaha Moto-4

I am working on a few things for a friend of mine and one is a Moto-4 thats all I see on the 4 wheeler, I dont see no tag for the year or anything.. it only has a eletric start so been jumping it off with another battery I have anyways i got it to crank once yesterday and I rode it around the yard but it cut off and wouldnt crank again so today I got it running again after taking aprt the carb and cleaning it all out... ran for a good 5 minutes prolly about 8-10 i rode around the yard went tho the gears and all then let my gf ride it while i done something then i went to get back on it and she let it die, and now I cant get it to crank again...

anyone know why its doing this?

try cleaning the filter and change the oil.

what would the oil have to do with how it runs? The oil doesnt look that bad really.. I havent found the oil filter on it yet..
