Just wondering what your thoughts were. I have a stock 400 ex. slip on WB-eseries pipe, K&N Air filter w/ power lid, 152 main jet. I really don't want to do a 416 kit right now, but was wondering what would be better, advance the timing or put in a hot cam. Anybody have any suggestions.

A cam will make a big difference. Advancing the timing won't.

HotCam all the way! I love mine, i have a stage1 and it has great bottom and mid range power. Just an FYI they tick louder, so after you adjust your valves and it gets warmed up dont worry about the louder ticking.
