I was riding in the dark the other night. When backing up you have no light at all. Does anybody make a backup light similar to a headlight? I'd like the added visiblity in reverse.

I don't see why you couldn't just add somekind of light to the rear and put another switch on the handle bars somewhere.
Seems too much for me but..........

unfortunately with my '03 400 i don't have the luxury of reverse.. the last suggestion is probably the easiest. trail tech lights perhaps. just check the wattage rating to make sure you can use them at the same as the main headlight if that's a necessitty

I'm not aware of a light for that specific application. However, you could easily mount any sort of fog light or utility light to the grab bar. You could tap into the wiring for the tail light to hook it up and simply mount a toggle switch to turn it on and off. Because you would only need the light while backing up and at slow speeds it would not need to be a very high wattage bulb. Given the limited usage, I doubt it would stress the stator very much but someone else may correct me on that. If you do this mod, post pics. I'd like to see how it turned out.

I appreciate the replys. Ya I use to think "why would I want reverse" Its darn handy, I use it all the time. All have to check about the lights, I would think one would be enough. Just a thought but maybe a switch that mounts down by the cable shifter for the reverse switch. If I do the mod all takes pics.

Thanks for the replys. Not a bad kit, but I want the light to engage when the reverse switch shifts. Guess I'm lazy and don't want to reach for a toggle, hehe.
