I think he means "I was looking into the drive mechanism (tranmission??) And I saw alot of metal shavens in the Sump."

Not too sure what to say that that.

What kind of quad is it, does it still run, can you still shift through all the gears while riding? We need more info:) . But i guess i can try and take a stab at it, if its not running it could be part of your piston or connecting rod that got in the bottom end, if it is running and not ridable it could be broken gears from the tranny.

What do you consider 'lots of metal particles'? Are they chunks or small shavings?

If they are some small shavings it's most likely 'normal' if this is the first time the side cover was removed.
