In take hose loose 400ex 01

I was taking my bike apart and I noticed that the intake hose to the carberator was disconected and im not shure for how long, but the thing still starts and rides --ok-- but not great what sould I do ? so far I took off the carb and soaked it in gas. any help would be gladly accepted

well be prepared to maybe have to buy a new carb and maybe some internal engine parts if the intake hose was off you may have sand blasted the inside of your carb and topend of your engine.you'll be smart to take the top end apart and see how everything looks

After you get everything fixed use two wire ties (zip strips) as a back up to hold the air box on. Just like it shows on this website. Thet have a lot of other good ideas also.400ex modifications (http://www.annihilationracing.com/reports/BikeMods/Our400EXModsandSecrets.htm)
