Exactly how much snow did you guy in Buffalo get today? I read soemwhere else that the power is out to some 60 000 people !?!?!?!:confused:

im speechless as to how early you guys got snow!!

i wonder if this is the foreshadowing of a future snowy winter or just a coincidence?

i didn't think you all could get snow days. haha. i know my cousin in the foothills just outside of denver hasn't had a snow day in all 12 years she has been in school. thre are days that they have gone to school with 3ft of new snow that fell that night.

yeah i agree, its not even worth reading the predictions much because it seems like they are off most of the time. i would love to see a snowy winter this year but im not saying anything until i see it.

yesterday it got a few inchs which melted in like 20 mins and right now its cold kinda snowing and UBER WINDS its crazy i was in library today and they have pointy skylights i could hear the window panes like bending in and out from wind :eek2:

yes we sure as hell did get alot of snow, the governor declared a state of emergency, 3 ppl died,power is out in buffalo and most of niagar,orleans and erie county.

ther were sayin transformers had just fallin off of telephone poles because of the snow.

on thursday night we beat a record snowfall by 6 inches i beleive for the month of october, and by friday at 5am we had beaten that record by 5 inches i think, and we beat the record of most snowfall for our region in the month of october.

all in all the heaviest hit places got close 26-28 inches(2.5ft)

but a general snowfall of around 6inches to a foot for most of the region.

also with out the power there will be massive flooding because all of the pump stations are down and without generators, those that have generators cant get gas because the gas stations have no power and those that to are already out of gas.

Man that was a crazy storm. I believe at the moment 300,000 people dont have power. Did you guys in buffalo see all the gas lines. I work at delta sonic and they were probly 20 or so cars long. people were freaking out at us ang this one lady kept dropping f bombs at me and my manager because we had to let a sherriff in to get gas before them, he has prority over them.

That friday morning i went outside at 3am to see everything. It was so erie walking outside and not hearing ANYTHING except a tree branch break literally every few seconds. All the mean while it was thundering and lightning. It was one of the coolest things iv ever seen. School was canceled friday obviously, but its monday and its still canceled, think im just gonna call this a light out day haha.

my dads friend didnt have to work the other day because the load he needed to take was to buffalo. so we cut and split wood its crazy up there my cuzin lives up there

Lost power friday just got it back at 4 pm monday. what a rough weekend... didn't even have school friday or monday.

that had better be forshadowing the winter to come. We don't really get a lot of snow up here at potsdam but back home in syracuse area the lake effact is great. Snow didn't come much in college down there, but the snowmobile ridin and skiing was welcome.
